Yes, I’m …. frugal, and proud of it ! That’s why I took a little drive over the Golden Ears Bridge last weekend, because there are no tolls for the first thirty days! I have to say, it’s a nifty looking bridge, except for the rusty panels under the on ramps??? Are they supposed to look so rusty already, or is it just me? Either way, my son piped up in the back and asked: ” What are those birds up on the top mom? “
I took a look, and told him they looked like golden eagles to me.
” So if it’s called the Golden Ears Bridge, why do they have golden eagles instead of golden ears up there? “

Beats me, but according to the Ministry Of Highways Website, the new Port Mann Bridge will be renamed the Golden Eagles Bridge, and will have two golden ears adorning it…………………. I don’t know what else to say.
